Cinderella at Hull Truck Theatre
Hull Truck Theatre does its own panto every year, but it’s not a traditional panto by any means.
This year it’s Cinderella: Five rats. One romance. No cheese, written by the award-winning Mike Kenny. Continue reading
My perfect holiday with Mark Warner #markwarnermum
This year we have been very busy having fun, and where there are busy families having fun, there is an even busier mum making it all happen.
Dad and I work very hard to keep us all fed and clothed, and to give us all some family adventures along the way. Continue reading
Review: I Spy books from Michelin
I have been sent these little I Spy books to review. To be honest, they’re not much good to me – I was sent them for Cambridge and the Isle of Wight, two places I’m nowhere near – so we haven’t tested them in action, but I can see that they would be fabulous for anyone thinking of going somewhere new and wanting to find all the good spots. Feature: #FloridaTixTag
Thank you to the fantastic Emma from Emma and Three who has tagged me in the #FloridaTixTag game – I need to answer some questions about attractions in Orlando and Florida, tag an unsuspecting fellow blogger, and I can be in with a chance of winning an awesome prize. Blackpool, Lancashire
During October half-term, we spent a few days in Blackpool on the Lancashire coast. It was fresh and fun. We love it! Here’s what we did.
Visiting Santa at Princes Quay, Hull
Santa arrives at Princes Quay shopping centre in Hull via a parade which sets off from Hull New Theatre at 11am on Sunday 16th November. He will be joined by the Frozen gang as well as a brass band and lots of people representing organisations across the city. We sent Claire, her fiance Ben, and their brood of four to put Santa through his paces ahead of his stint. Continue reading
Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Blackpool, Lancashire
We can not recommend Blackpool Pleasure Beach enough. We visited on Halloween, when it became Vampire Beach for the day and we had an amazing time. We are a family with members aged from 3 to 53 and all had a brilliant day, and we were there from 11am until 9.30pm – over ten hours, which is fantastic value. The Halloween atmosphere was pitch-perfect and there was so much to do.
Feature: Top 5 places to spot penguins in the UK
It seems the whole of the country is going penguin crazy, thanks to a certain Christmas advert from John Lewis. Monty the Penguin has his own Twitter feed and growing fan-base, and rightly so – penguins rock! Continue reading
