We loved our trip to YHA Grinton Lodge so much that we decided we’d seek out another YHA on our recent trip to London. We plumped for YHA London St Paul’s, which handily enough, is a short walk from St Paul’s Cathedral. We had another good stay and we would highly recommend YHA to families like ours.

The Wardonia Hotel in Kings Cross in London is a perfectly functional hotel very close to Kings Cross station and St Pancras and ideal for a short stop over. While I wouldn’t call this hotel luxury in any way, it was better than I expected and well worth the money. Continue reading

I stayed in the easyHotel South Kensington for one night in September 2014. It was the night of the MAD Blog Awards – remember them? I only needed somewhere to sleep as the award ceremony was finishing late but we would be at the awards venue for most of the time, with food provided. The Travelodge reception is on the first floor – there are stairs and two lifts – and the accommodation is on floors one, two, and three of the main building. The ground floor is a vet’s surgery and shops such as Costa Coffee and M&S. Continue reading
