Paradise Park, Newhaven, East Sussex

This is a guest post about Paradise Park in East Sussex from Jennifer of Jennifer’s Little World – mum to two, shameless explorer, and Hama bead genius.

We like to think that we’ve visited most of our local attractions, but we recently discovered Paradise Park near Newhaven – new to us and definitely a hidden gem. Drusilla’s Park, Alfriston, East Sussex

Drusillas Park is a small zoo in Alfriston, East Sussex, aimed particularly at young children. I have very fond memories of it, as we used to go there a lot when I was younger. Although billed as a zoo, there is a lot more there to see and do, and we had a lovely day when we visited recently with our 4 year old and almost 2 year old.

Brighton Toy and Model Museum, Brighton, East Sussex

Brighton Toy and Model Museum http://www.brightontoymuseum.co.uk/ is tucked away under the arches of Brighton Station. You can visit Arch One for free, where there is a shop, local information point and also a range of exhibits. It costs £4 for an adult ticket to the rest of the museum, children are £3 and children under 4 are free. Although it’s not a large museum in terms of floorspace, there is a huge amount crammed in, covering the walls and the ceilings.  Continue reading
