BritMums Brilliance in Blogging Awards

We interrupt our usual broadcast, and our April Londonstravaganza to bring you this message……..

BRILLIANCE IN BLOGGING 2013

Wow!!! This blog has been included in the 16 strong short list for Travel in the annual Brilliance in Blogging Awards run by UK parent blogging network, BritMums. A massive thank you to everyone who nominated me.

When I started this blog last summer, I saw it as a good way of giving a shout out to all the fab places we visit as a family, and I opened it up as a space for others to do the same. I have had lots of other parent bloggers contribute over the last few months. There are too many to mention them all – a full list of contributors and their own blogs is over on the left – but I’d especially like to thank those who’ve contributed more than once and been an extra special support – Jennifer Jain, Debbie JJ, and Steffi Kerr. Apologies if I’ve missed anyone.

I have featured some fantastic places in all parts of the UK and it’s thanks to these wonderful guest posters that I’ve been able to do this.

Thanks to all the places that have let a mad lady and her noisy kids loose with a camera, especially those who have been brave enough to let us in for free! Got to love those who appreciate how involving bloggers can be really beneficial. If you are a UK attraction who like the sound of this, please feel free to get in touch (nudge, nudge).

Anyway, if you would like to vote for this blog in the travel category, then you need to fill in this form on the BritMums site. You can only complete it once, so choose carefully. There are some fab blogs there in other categories, including food, innovate, social media, and lifestyle. To be honest, it’s going to be hard choosing my favourite in some categories.

Hopefully, I make it to the final six and get to attend the BiBs award ceremony and I may even jettison the usual comfy clothes and don a sparkly dress. I might even win *snorts*. In the meantime, I shall just enjoy being recognised as a good enough travel blogger for inclusion on such a wonderful short list.

Thanks to you all again.
