Check out our post – Things to do in Hull with the kids
Next is an exhibition dedicated to the fish that live in the very deep, dark bits of the ocean.
Toward the end of the tour, you get in the scenic lift and go back up to the top floor. The lift stops halfway up so you can look at the fish. Or you can take the stairs if you want to go at your own pace.
There is a small soft-play area halfway round so the children can blow off some energy. There are toilets and baby changing at the beginning and end of the tour, and halfway round. There is also a cafe and picnic area halfway round, as well as one on the top floor with a fantastic viewing platform over the River Humber.
The whole exhibition is very navigable, apart from one bit where you have to take a lift if you have a pram or a wheelchair. Sometimes it gets very busy and trying to navigate a pram through people trying to look at things can be a bit stressful. We try and go during the week when it’s not so busy.
It really is a great day out for all the family. Even young babies like looking at fish.
Total time – 2 to 3 hours.
Tickets are priced at £10.75 for adults, with reductions for children and senior citizens. There are also discounts available for online bookings. Under 3s are free. You can upgrade your ticket to an annual pass free of charge too if you bring photos and some ID on your visit.
There is parking available right outside for a small charge (£3 for five hours approx.). There is also a bus available from Hull Interchange. It is two minutes detour from the Hull Fish Trail.
