With half-term just around the corner, I’d like to share with you three things to do with your children. As it’s looking likely to be a bit cold and wet this coming week, I’ve given you suggestions for indoor ‘days out’. Hopefully, the forecast will be wrong and we’ll be able to get outside for a while but you know, best to be prepared!
- Visit the National Railway Museum. This half-term, the NRM has all the usual railway-themed activities, and also a Punch and Judy show. The museum is a short walk from York train station, and is FREE to enter. Donations gratefully accepted, and small charges apply for some of the attractions. Fantastic for a rainy February day.

- Visit the Natural History Museum. Another indoor treat for a dull day, the Natural History Museum has something for everyone. If you have a little dinosaur fan, or one who enjoys learning about bodily functions, the NHM in London is great. Totally free and can be combined with a visit to the Science Museum next door.

- Visit the Seven Stories Centre in Newcastle. If your little ones are into children’s books, then a visit to the Seven Stories Centre is awesome. Seven floors of storytelling and story-related craft activities will keep your little ones entertained for the whole afternoon. There is an admission charge. Check out their website for more information.
