Pirate Island Adventure Golf

Halloween Weekend at Pirate Island Adventure Golf, Castleford

We were invited back to play Pirate Island Adventure Golf at Junction 32 at Castleford for their Halloween weekend, so we popped in on the way home from a few days in Blackpool. It made a handy half-way stop off, so we grabbed some lunch, hit the shops, and then nervously made our way over to the Halloween-themed Pirate Island.

Pirate Island Adventure Golf

It was the same Pirate Island that we love. On our last visit we experienced the Skull Cove course, so we chose to try out Smuggler’s bay. It was 18 holes of competitive crazy golf on a Pirate/Halloween theme.

First of all, I’d like to apologise to anyone who got stuck behind us on Saturday afternoon. The twins fluctuate between putting their ball down next to the hole, popping it in and declaring a hole-in-one, to trying to do it properly and finishing about 112 over par.

We’re really not sure who won. Grandad said it was him. I reckon it was me, but it all got a bit mental after about hole 10 of 18, and anarchy set in. I blame the atmosphere from the pumpkins and the rivers of blood.

Here’s a few snaps from our trip.

We enjoyed our 18 holes at Castleford Junction 32, and will be back again no doubt.

Good luck cleaning up those rivers, guys!
