During October half-term, we spent a few days in Blackpool on the Lancashire coast. It was fresh and fun. We love it! Here’s what we did.
We stayed at the Travelodge at Lytham St Annes, a few miles south of Blackpool itself. It was a bit cheaper – and available, which is a good thing during possibly one of the busier weeks. We got the bus into Blackpool, and used trams to get us to the main attractions.
On the first night, we ate fish and chips for tea….
….and then we went to one of the many amusement arcades for rides and 2p machines.
The next day we visited Illuminasia, which was short and sweet, and Sandcastle Waterpark, which was a lot of fun. That night, we drove down the famous illuminations, seeing lots of illuminated trams and more.
On the Friday, we spent all day in the Pleasure Beach. It was Halloween. We got dressed up and met up with lots of vampires, skeletons, and scary clowns. It was awesome!
We love it!. Yes, it’s a bit tacky but recent redevelopment work has improved the promenade and town centre no end. It’s not at all expensive, and there’s lots to do, with plenty of accommodation, and pretty reasonable parking charges.
This wasn’t our first visit to Blackpool and it certainly won’t be our last.
Love you all
