Over Christmas, we went to see Little Women at ERT – East Riding Theatre – in Beverley, East Yorkshire. It was my first visit and I have to say I was very impressed, both with the play and the theatre itself, and no doubt I will be back in the future. Mainly because it’s a great little theatre with lots going on but also because I can walk to it from my house, which is useful!

This weekend for a few hours, I played tourist in my home town of Hull. I joined a group of bloggers, mostly from out of town, to experience some more grown-up activities, courtesy of Visit Hull and East Yorkshire. It was a nice change to do something without the children. I haven’t played out in Hull as a grown-up very often in my own right since having children. Since then, Hull has experienced a lot of welcome changes, a lot of which were implemented in the run-up to and the duration of Hull’s tenure of UK City of Culture in 2017.

We’ve visited The National Space Centre before and I don’t want to go over old ground.
On this visit, I noticed that the entrance layout and the cafe bit had been jiggled with a bit and it was a marked improvement. Everything else was exactly as I remembered it, which was good.
