Forbidden Corner review

The Forbidden Corner, Leyburn, North Yorkshire

So last year, we visited a place we’d been meaning to go for ages – The Forbidden Corner in Leyburn. It’s very popular and you have to pre-book. We’d heard lots of good things about it, so set a date to go up there and make a weekend of it. The only tickets we could get were for a 1 pm entry. We weren’t sure this would give us enough time in the park but decided to take it anyway as finding spare days to get anywhere seems to be more effort these days! Did we enjoy it? I think so. Thanks so much to Online Golf and Golphin for a fun afternoon in Manchester, learning how to play golf from golf pros. We have played golf before, of course. If you can count trying to putt around pirates or dinosaurs, and the odd windmill. If crazy golf doesn’t count, then no, we haven’t really played any proper golf. I’m not sure it’s something the girls are desperate to be too involved with, but we have a rule in this house, and that’s we should try anything new when we get the opportunity. Breakfast time at Dynamix

Red Nose Day local project: Dynamix Youth Club

In previous years, we have helped raise thousands of pounds for Comic Relief and Sport Relief as part of blogger collective Team Honk. In 2014, we were part of a national team which moved a baton from Land’s End to John O’Groats, and in 2015 we were part of the huge Danceathon at Wembley Arena. Team Honk have raised in excess of £80,000 since 2013. Continue reading
