Twinlakes Park is a family theme park near Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire. It is pretty big and you’ll have to rush to get around everything, especially on a shorter low-season day, but you can just pick and choose what you want to. There is lots of things to do for children aged from 2 to 12, and for adults too. Continue reading

February Half-term family and kids days out ideas
It’s almost half-term here in the UK, and while the weather is still pretty wintry, there are lots of places you can explore with your family.
Indoor attractions are always busy at this time of year. One we can recommend is a visit to the National Railway Museum in York. It is free entry, and they are running a Paddington Bear themed exhibition again. We went in 2012 and it was ace. Please read our review, and check out the NRM website for more info. Continue reading
Review: easyHotel South Kensington
I stayed in the easyHotel South Kensington for one night in September 2014. It was the night of the MAD Blog Awards – remember them? I only needed somewhere to sleep as the award ceremony was finishing late but we would be at the awards venue for most of the time, with food provided. I really only did need somewhere to sleep and shower, and easyHotel South Kensington did the job. Continue reading

Hull Truck Theatre does its own panto every year, but it’s not a traditional panto by any means.
This year it’s Cinderella: Five rats. One romance. No cheese, written by the award-winning Mike Kenny. Continue reading
My perfect holiday with Mark Warner #markwarnermum
This year we have been very busy having fun, and where there are busy families having fun, there is an even busier mum making it all happen.
Dad and I work very hard to keep us all fed and clothed, and to give us all some family adventures along the way. Continue reading
Review: I Spy books from Michelin
I have been sent these little I Spy books to review. To be honest, they’re not much good to me – I was sent them for Cambridge and the Isle of Wight, two places I’m nowhere near – so we haven’t tested them in action, but I can see that they would be fabulous for anyone thinking of going somewhere new and wanting to find all the good spots.
