Sandcastle Waterpark is the UK’s biggest indoor waterpark, and I can quite believe it. I would say it’s much bigger than any of the Butlin’s waterparks and Splash Landings at Alton Towers. Sandcastle Waterpark has over 18 slides and attractions, and we spent three hours here in October half-term 2014.

Paradise Park, Newhaven, East Sussex
This is a guest post about Paradise Park in East Sussex from Jennifer of Jennifer’s Little World – mum to two, shameless explorer, and Hama bead genius.
We like to think that we’ve visited most of our local attractions, but we recently discovered Paradise Park near Newhaven – new to us and definitely a hidden gem. Paradise Park really is a unique attraction. It’s difficult to describe in a few words as there is so much to do, so here are the things that we enjoyed the most. Continue reading

We kinda like Autumn. There’s still a little bit of sunshine left to get out and about and do some leaf jumping before the cold well and truly sets in. And then you have Halloween and Bonfire Night! If you’re looking for family days out for the Autumn half-term 2014, then this is what’s on. Continue reading
The Wychwood Festival 2014, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
This is a guest post about the Wychwood Festival from Sarah. Sarah is mum to to two big boys and a growing girl. She works at home, runs half marathons, tries to avoid housework and blogs at MumofThree World.
The Wychwood Festival is a three-day festival held at Cheltenham Racecourse on the last weekend of May half-term (you know, the one without the Bank Holiday in it!). It celebrated its 10th anniversary this year. It tends to feature biggish bands from yesteryear, mixed in with up-and-coming local talent. Topping the bill this year were The Stranglers, The Boomtown Rats and my own very favourite band of all time, The Levellers. Continue reading
The MADs 2014 – the aftermath, and a thank you!
Well, on Friday I attended the MADs as a finalist in the Best Family Travel Blog category and I only went and won!

Review: Usborne Spotter’s Cards – 50 Things to Spot in London
We LOVE London. Well, I love London. I’m working on the children. I bought them a pack of spotters cards from Usborne and they are really helping London come alive. I bought them for the children but, to be honest, the 50 Things to Spot in London pack is useful for adults too.
Conisbrough Castle, Doncaster, South Yorkshire

National Fishing Heritage Centre, Grimsby, North-East Lincolnshire
The National Fishing Heritage Centre is an award winning museum in Grimsby, North-East Lincolnshire. It’s somewhere I remember visiting as a child, but it’s twenty years since I’ve been. We decided that it would be a good place to visit on a rainy day. Continue reading
