We love the UK and its fantastic offering of things to do but sometimes I yearn for somewhere a bit sunnier and brighter. I’ve been asked to look at the range of destinations in South America which you can get to with Brazil’s biggest airline TAM and I have to say a trip there is looking very tempting. But where would I go? TAM flies to several destinations from London, including Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Santiago de Chile, and Lima, all of which would be fantastic to explore. I think I would start with Rio!

My Foursquare “achievements”.
“Congrats! You just unlocked the Newbie badge.”
In case you don’t recognise this, this is from Foursquare – the app and site where you can record your travels near or far, checking in wherever you go and leaving tips for other Foursquare users.
Foursquare has become a bit of an obsession now. I try and check in to as many places as I can (mobile phone coverage allowing) and have unlocked a few badges, including the adventurer badge, and the shutterbug badge.
Here’s a few that I would have unlocked if Foursquare made them available…..

Father’s Day: Ideas for days out with Dad
Father’s Day is coming this Sunday, the 15th June.
The weather looks like it’s going to be cloudy or sunny, depending where you live, and hopefully not a lot of rain. It’ll be a good day to get out and about with Dad as a special family treat. Continue reading
Feature: The Story of Woburn Forest – Center Parcs
A sponsored post brought to you in association with Center Parcs
We’ve haven’t yet been to Center Parcs. We’ll get there eventually no doubt in our mission to try out every attraction and holiday park in the UK. It does look awesome.
Feature: Where to Meet the Characters at Disneyland Paris
Without characters, Disneyland Paris would be just nothing more than a very good theme park. For us, the characters make our visit to Disneyland Paris complete. We don’t really have favourites – we love them all, and our trip wouldn’t have been the same without them.
Feature: The wuss’s guide to rides at Disneyland Paris
I don’t know about you but I just can’t do big rides. Never have done. Unfortunately, when your children (inexplicably) love big rides, then you kind-of get roped in to going on with them, especially on those rides where they’re too small to go on without an adult. Our trip to Disneyland Paris this time saw me going on some rides I’d never been on before. This was because I’d avoided them because they sounded a bit scary. Funny thing is, I’m a lot better with scary rides if I can see them in action first, rather than rides that you can’t see, if you see what I mean.
Feature: The Hotel Santa Fe at Disneyland Paris
I’d love to be able to write you an article comparing the different hotels at Disneyland Paris, but we’ve only ever stayed at the cheapest one – the Hotel Santa Fe.
I don’t know what the other hotels have to offer over and above the Santa Fe which warrants more expense, apart from maybe being a few minutes walk nearer the parks. What I can do is tell you all about what’s on offer at the Hotel Santa Fe and you can decide if it’s the one for you.

Review: Lunch Bag from the Beverage Bag Company
We have been sent some lunch bags from the Beverage Bag Company to try out. These are lunch bags with a drinks dispenser bag inside.
The bag holds up to 1.5 litres of juice or water (or anything really but not recommended for fizzy drinks), which is dispensed through a valve.
The 2014 MAD Blog Awards. A thank you.
The more eagle-eyed reader may have noticed that I have swapped my shiny MAD Blog Awards 2014 ‘Nominate Me’ badge for a rather more shiny ‘Finalist’ badge. Go me!
Disney on Ice presents Worlds of Fantasy
We are very excited to be going to the latest Disney on Ice show Worlds of Fantasy. We will be going to the First Direct Arena in Leeds on the 8th March and we are really looking forward to it.
Worlds of Fantasy is a story of Mickey and Minnie’s road trip, taking in Tinkerbell and Pixie Hollow, Ariel and her undersea friends, Cars, and Toy Story 3 with Barbie and Ken. There is also “help” in the form of favourites Goofy and Donald Duck.
