I know it’s still November but we’re feeling all Christmassy already here and are excited about the prospect of a snowy winter this year after a couple of dry years. When Chill Factor-e in Manchester invited us to go and try out their indoor Snow Park with a visit to Santa thrown in we jumped at the chance. Continue reading

One sunny but cold Sunday in October, we went aboard to find out what York Boat do best. Continue reading

A trip to Leeds with Smiggle #SmiggleXmasParty
Smiggle invited us to go to an exclusive preview of their products in time for Christmas at their Leeds store in Trinity Leeds just in from the Briggate entrance. As Leeds is somewhere we aren’t really familiar with, and the three younger girls especially being big Smiggle fans, then it was a yes from us!
Upcoming Event – BRICK Live, Birmingham NEC
BRICK Live – the UK’s largest LEGO exhibition – is back in Birmingham this half-term. Following on from the success of shows in London and Birmingham in 2015, BRICK Live is here and is set to be bigger and better.
Middleham Castle, Middleham, North Yorkshire
Middleham Castle near Leyburn in North Yorkshire is most famous as being the childhood home of Richard III. You know, the one they recently dug up from under a car park in Leicester, and subject of one of Shakespeare’s most famous plays. It’s not as homely now, but it makes a fascinating day out, and all for free if you are a member of English Heritage.
Clent Hills, Romsley, West Midlands
Clent Hills camping and caravanning site was a great halfway point between our trip to River Dart Country Park and our home back in Yorkshire. It was quite different to our previous destination, but provided a good base to explore the West Midlands – somewhere where we aren’t familiar with. We visited in August 2016.
River Dart Country Park, Ashburton, Devon
Words cannot adequately describe my love for the River Dart Country Park in Devon as a fantastic family holiday destination. It is the most expensive camp site we have ever visited and it was worth every penny. We stayed here in August 2016.
The Augustin, Brussels, Belgium
The Augustin in Brussels was a fantastic hotel for us on our girly trip back in July. We highly recommend it for a family stay. We stayed here for three nights across Belgian National Day in July 2016. Continue reading
The Wardonia, Kings Cross, London
The Wardonia Hotel in Kings Cross in London is a perfectly functional hotel very close to Kings Cross station and St Pancras and ideal for a short stop over. While I wouldn’t call this hotel luxury in any way, it was better than I expected and well worth the money. Continue reading
