Top family days out of 2016

Hasn’t 2016 been a funny old year? It’s certainly one we’ll be talking about for years to come. For us, it’s been another year full of adventure and exploration. As the children are getting older, our trips have gotten further away and more adventurous. We’re moving from little farm zoos to more exciting activities. What have you gotten up to this year? An urban adventure with Jo Brand and Sport Relief

On Sunday, I had a little child-free day out of my own. To Doncaster in South Yorkshire. I know, right? It’s not the most glamourous of towns, but then I’m used to that. It wasn’t to do anything particularly adventurous, well unless you call walking at a steady pace through the town centre adventurous. There wasn’t even a prize at the end of my walk. So why did I bother? Read More

Christmas gifts for fun-seeking families

Yes I know it’s still October but I like being prepared and I’m feeling a bit left out as the rest of the blogging world seem to be circulating their Christmas gift guides already. I thought I’d do one for those who love days out and travel. Read More

A night at The Science Museum with Mark Champkins and BT

As a family travel blogger, we get invited to some fantastic places. On most occasions we are invited to test somewhere as a regular punter. We get to see what everyone else sees, and try out the things that are available to everyday paying guests. We love sharing our thoughts and experiences with you so you can make up your mind if a particular day out is the right one for you and your family. Read More

Review: Trespass Wishful girls waterproof jacket

Trespass have sent us a Wishful girls jacket to test. So far, so good!

It ticks all my boxes in terms of being warm, waterproof, and very practical. It ticks all my seven-year old’s boxes in terms of being pink. To her, the pink is very important. Back in my day *feels old* there was often a compromise to be made between practicalities and style. Not with this one. My very style-conscious daughter likes this jacket very much. Read More

The Red Nose Day Danceathon

On Sunday 8th March, myself and mini-me headed over to Wembley Arena for the first ever Red Nose Day Danceathon in support of Comic Relief. We were part of a group of other bloggers, friends, and family collectively known as #TeamHonk. We numbered almost 100 in a 2,000 strong crowd, plus various supporters. Read More

A grand day out: Meeting Sir Ranulph Fiennes

This week we were invited to go and chat to Sir Ranulph Fiennes, so of course, we jumped at the chance.

We met with Sir Ranulph ahead of an event organised by Marie Curie so we could talk to him about his latest project – the Marathon Des Sables – to raise money for the charity, which exists to provide end-of-life care to people suffering from terminal illness. Read More

#TeamHonkdanceathon 2015 – Please support us!

It’s New Year time which means only one thing – Team Honk is back!

This March, myself and my eldest roving reporter Meredith will be taking part in the Comic Relief 2015 Danceathon, as part of the blogger collective Team Honk. Read More

Thank you to the fantastic Emma from Emma and Three who has tagged me in the #FloridaTixTag game – I need to answer some questions about attractions in Orlando and Florida, tag an unsuspecting fellow blogger, and I can be in with a chance of winning an awesome prize. Actually, I quite like these questions, and if you like them too and want to be in with a chance of winning, head on over to FloridaTix and see what you need to do. Read More
