Twycross Zoo - Review

Twycross Zoo, Atherstone, Warwickshire

Twycross Zoo is twice the size of London Zoo but with fewer animals. It makes for a very pleasant day out, rain or shine, of which we had both on the day of our visit.

Review: Trespass Wishful girls waterproof jacket

Trespass have sent us a Wishful girls jacket to test. So far, so good!

It ticks all my boxes in terms of being warm, waterproof, and very practical. It ticks all my seven-year old’s boxes in terms of being pink. To her, the pink is very important. Back in my day *feels old* there was often a compromise to be made between practicalities and style. Not with this one. My very style-conscious daughter likes this jacket very much. Continue reading

Wetwang Scarecrow Festival 2015

Wetwang Scarecrow Festival, Yorkshire

This week, we visited Wetwang Scarecrow Festival. We’ve been a few times before but this year, the twins could join in a bit more, and they loved it.

Wetwang is a village not too far from York in Yorkshire, and it’s very pretty. Yes, it has a silly name and appears regularly on those ‘Top silly place names’ lists and such, but it hasn’t suffered. Continue reading
