Standard Accommodation at Butlins Skegness
What to expect from ‘Standard’ accommodation at Butlins Skegness.
If you’ve never been to Butlins before, it’s hard to judge what grade of accommodation you should book for you and your family. Not knowing how much you will actually be in your accommodation, and what you need to take along yourself can mean you end up paying more money for a higher grade than you may have been happy with. The Red Nose Day Danceathon
On Sunday 8th March, myself and mini-me headed over to Wembley Arena for the first ever Red Nose Day Danceathon in support of Comic Relief. We were part of a group of other bloggers, friends, and family collectively known as #TeamHonk. We numbered almost 100 in a 2,000 strong crowd, plus various supporters. Continue reading
A grand day out: Meeting Sir Ranulph Fiennes
This week we were invited to go and chat to Sir Ranulph Fiennes, so of course, we jumped at the chance.
We met with Sir Ranulph ahead of an event organised by Marie Curie so we could talk to him about his latest project – the Marathon Des Sables – to raise money for the charity, which exists to provide end-of-life care to people suffering from terminal illness. Continue reading

Our third stop on our #StayPlayExplore adventure to Leicestershire is………
We woke up in the Hilton Leicester on the Monday morning with every intention of going to Twycross Zoo. As it was raining, we decided to pass an hour in the hotel’s pool, then set off once the rain moved on. It didn’t. Continue reading

There is lots of things to do for children aged from 2 to 12, and for adults too. Continue reading

February Half-term family and kids days out ideas
It’s almost half-term here in the UK, and while the weather is still pretty wintry, there are lots of places you can explore with your family.
Indoor attractions are always busy at this time of year. One we can recommend is a visit to the National Railway Museum in York. It is free entry, and they are running a Paddington Bear themed exhibition again. We went in 2012 and it was ace. Please read our review, and check out the NRM website for more info. Continue reading
Review: easyHotel South Kensington
I stayed in the easyHotel South Kensington for one night in September 2014. It was the night of the MAD Blog Awards – remember them? I only needed somewhere to sleep as the award ceremony was finishing late but we would be at the awards venue for most of the time, with food provided. I really only did need somewhere to sleep and shower, and easyHotel South Kensington did the job. Continue reading
