A trip to Normanby Hall, Lincolnshire
Recently, my three younger children went to Normanby Hall in North Lincolnshire with their grandparents. I armed them with a camera and told them to tell me all about it when they got home.

Longleat, Warminster, Wiltshire
Longleat is an estate in Wiltshire comprising an animal adventure park, a safari drive, and a stately home and gardens. It is huge. We spent several hours here and didn’t get to see everything. Continue reading

Twycross Zoo, Atherstone, Warwickshire
Twycross Zoo is twice the size of London Zoo but with fewer animals. It makes for a very pleasant day out, rain or shine, of which we had both on the day of our visit.
We visited one changeable Sunday using the tickets we had left as part of the #StayPlayExplore deal. We highly recommend a trip to Twycross Zoo. Continue reading

Wetwang Scarecrow Festival, Yorkshire
This week, we visited Wetwang Scarecrow Festival. We’ve been a few times before but this year, the twins could join in a bit more, and they loved it.
Wetwang is a village not too far from York in Yorkshire, and it’s very pretty. Yes, it has a silly name and appears regularly on those ‘Top silly place names’ lists and such, but it hasn’t suffered. Continue reading

Volcano Falls Adventure Golf, Xscape, Castleford, Yorkshire
This Easter holidays we paid another visit to Xscape, Castleford. We were invited to try out Volcano Falls Adventure Golf, and their 3-way combo ticket, which is £10.99 per person for a round of golf, a spin on the Route 66 Dodgems, and a trip on the XD Experience.
